With 650 million fans in 160+ countries, the Professional Fighters League (PFL) is one of the fastest-growing sports leagues in the world. Now, it’s taking fan engagement to the next level, bringing its global audience on-chain through PFL Rewards, built with Futureverse technology and deployed on The Root Network. The program is now live across iOS and Android, allowing fans to engage with PFL and earn rewards for everyday actions.

PFL Rewards allows users to collect points by streaming fights, watching highlights, submitting predictions, and engaging with the league. These points can be redeemed for real-world rewards, including merchandise, VIP access, and tickets to events.

The experience is fully integrated into the official PFL mobile app. It runs on a web3 infrastructure stack but feels like a standard mobile app. There are no wallet popups or gas fees. Identity and wallet creation are handled automatically through Pass, Futureverse’s smart wallet and identity system. All digital assets, including rewards and badges, are minted and stored on The Root Network.

“PFL is redefining what it means to be a modern sports league,” said Mike Chioditti, SVP of New Business at PFL. “We’ve gained 650 million fans globally, many of them young and tech savvy. We want to give them a platform that connects them to the sport and rewards them for their loyalty. With Futureverse’s technology, this platform becomes a destination every day of the year, not just on fight night.”

Powered by Invisible Infrastructure

  • Futureverse Pass for digital identity and smart wallet integration
  • On-chain assets minted natively to users without any manual setup
  • Fees are abstracted from the user experience, creating seamless, signless interactions.

The result is a fully integrated loyalty system that behaves like a web2 app but delivers web3 ownership, flexibility, and transparency behind the scenes.

“Today’s fans want to participate, personalize, and be recognized for their engagement, wherever they are in the world,” said Aaron McDonald, Co-Founder and CEO of Futureverse. “With PFL, we are creating a real-world example of how sports organizations can bring fragmented audiences into a unified, gamified experience. It is a blueprint for the next generation of fandom.”

The loyalty platform was developed in collaboration with LiveLike, a leading provider of fan engagement technology. LiveLike has worked with brands such as Chelsea FC, YES Network, and LIV Golf.

“PFL is pioneering a new era of fan engagement, where interactivity, loyalty, and real-world value are integrated from day one,” said Miheer Walavalkar, CEO and Co-founder of LiveLike.

What’s Coming Next

The platform will continue to evolve, with future updates introducing digital collectibles, token-gated commerce, advanced ticketing, and custom fan experiences. All features will continue to use the same Futureverse tech stack and Root Network infrastructure.

PFL Rewards is available now in the PFL app on iOS and Android - download to get started.
